About MedicalRide

MedicalRide.org helps patients, caregivers, families, healthcare facilities, and other users discover and contact independent medical transportation providers.

Our goal is simple: make it easier to understand available transportation options, identify providers serving a particular area, compare relevant services, and connect with providers that may be able to meet a passenger’s transportation needs.

MedicalRide is a technology platform operated by Tipmunk SASU.

MedicalRide does not operate transportation vehicles, employ the independent transportation providers listed on the platform, or provide emergency medical services.

What MedicalRide does

Medical transportation can be difficult to arrange, particularly when a passenger requires wheelchair accessibility, stretcher transportation, bariatric accommodations, assistance entering a residence, long-distance transportation, or other specific support.

MedicalRide helps simplify that process by providing:

  • Searchable information about medical transportation providers
  • Local and service-area information
  • Structured transportation requests
  • Provider discovery and matching
  • Opportunities to compare available providers
  • Communication and marketplace coordination
  • Information about provider status and available verification signals

Depending on the request and the providers available in the area, customers may receive information or responses from multiple providers, helping them compare availability, capabilities, service terms, and pricing.

Our provider directory

MedicalRide maintains a directory of independent transportation providers using information from a combination of sources.

These may include:

  • Publicly available business information
  • Provider websites and public profiles
  • Provider submissions
  • Provider enrollment records
  • Direct communications with providers
  • Marketplace activity
  • User-submitted corrections
  • Other information reasonably available to MedicalRide

Some provider listings are based primarily on public information and have not been claimed by the provider.

Other providers have enrolled directly with MedicalRide.

Some enrolled providers have also supplied documentation for MedicalRide’s verification process.

We clearly distinguish these statuses so users can understand the level of information available about a provider.

How we approach provider information

MedicalRide uses reasonable, good-faith and best-effort processes to maintain useful provider information.

Depending on the provider and listing status, we may review factors such as:

  • Business and contact-information consistency
  • Advertised transportation services
  • Service areas
  • Provider-supplied information
  • Public reputation information
  • User feedback
  • Provider responsiveness
  • Documentation voluntarily supplied to MedicalRide

MedicalRide does not represent that every provider, service, document, licence, insurance policy, vehicle, driver, or business detail has been independently verified.

Information can also change after it has been reviewed or published.

Customers should confirm important information directly with the provider before arranging transportation.

Independent providers

Providers appearing on MedicalRide are independent businesses.

They remain responsible for their own:

  • Licences and operating authority
  • Insurance
  • Vehicles and equipment
  • Drivers and personnel
  • Training
  • Pricing
  • Scheduling
  • Service delivery
  • Representations to customers
  • Compliance with applicable laws and regulations

A listing, enrollment, membership, or verification status on MedicalRide is not a guarantee or endorsement of a provider’s safety, performance, availability, pricing, or suitability for a particular passenger.

Our approach to transparency

MedicalRide aims to make it clear where provider information comes from and what different provider statuses mean.
