Data controller

MedicalRide.org is operated by Tipmunk SASU, a French societe par actions simplifiee unipersonnelle (SASU), share capital EUR 1, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 107 697 385, with registered office at 47 rue Vivienne, 75002 Paris, France. Tipmunk SASU is the data controller for MedicalRide.org platform operations unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.

Information we collect

We collect the ride details you provide, including route, timing, accessibility needs, and your contact details. If you later complete payment after receiving confirmed ride details, payment information is processed through our payment providers. We may also collect technical usage information such as browser data and analytics signals used to improve the service.

How we use information

We use your information to calculate pricing, coordinate booking requests, contact transportation providers, send confirmations and updates, process payments, and support customer service.

The purpose of collecting structured ride details is to reduce repeated phone calls, help match the request with providers that appear to fit the route and capabilities needed, and make pricing and confirmation steps clearer for patients, caregivers, older adults, and families under stress.

When we share information

We share only the information needed to coordinate and complete the ride with independent providers, payment processors, and service vendors that support the platform. We do not sell your personal information.

MedicalRide.org is not the transportation provider or carrier. Independent providers that receive trip information are responsible for using it only as needed to evaluate, schedule, quote, book, perform, or support the requested ride.

Before a provider accepts a ride, we may limit sensitive contact details where practical. After acceptance or when you request a callback, we may share the contact and trip details needed for scheduling, pickup, payment, safety coordination, and customer support.

In quote-request or marketplace workflows, we may share ride logistics with multiple providers so they can evaluate availability, pricing, vehicle fit, equipment needs, access concerns, and timing. Depending on the workflow, direct customer or passenger contact details may be withheld, masked, limited, or released later after provider acceptance, customer acceptance, payment status, provider fee status, fraud review, or other operational checks.

Retention and security

We retain information for operational, legal, and support purposes. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
