Operator information

MedicalRide.org is operated by Tipmunk SASU, a French société par actions simplifiée unipersonnelle (SASU), share capital €1, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 107 697 385, with registered office at 47 rue Vivienne, 75002 Paris, France. MedicalRide.org is the public-facing platform name used for private-pay medical ride coordination, quote requests, provider outreach, and related support workflows.

MedicalRide's role and your transportation provider

MedicalRide.org is operated by Tipmunk SASU. MedicalRide provides technology that enables customers to request transportation quotes, compare provider offers, communicate with providers, and communicate acceptance of a provider's offer. MedicalRide does not perform the transportation, supply the vehicle, or employ the provider's drivers.

For a booking in which you pay the transportation provider directly, your transportation contract is with the provider identified in the offer you accept or in your telephone booking, when that provider's booking requirements have been met. The provider is responsible for performing the transportation and for its vehicles, drivers, personnel, required operating authorizations, insurance, and transportation charges. MedicalRide remains responsible for its own obligations under applicable law and these Terms.

The provider's identity, quoted price, and any conditions made available with its offer should be reviewed before acceptance. An online acceptance is communicated through MedicalRide. The booking status displayed to you indicates whether the booking is confirmed or still requires provider confirmation; a quote request alone is not a confirmed ride.

You pay the provider directly for the transportation. The provider's disclosed payment, cancellation, and refund conditions apply to that transportation transaction, subject to applicable law. MedicalRide is not the recipient of that transportation payment and cannot itself reverse a payment made directly to the provider. You may contact MedicalRide for assistance with a platform-related issue or to report a concern about a provider.

MedicalRide is not an emergency service. If you need emergency assistance, contact the appropriate emergency services immediately.

Provider information and responsibility

A provider's appearance in the directory does not by itself mean that the provider has enrolled with MedicalRide, accepted these Terms, or been assessed by MedicalRide. Any enrollment or document-review status displayed for a provider has only the meaning stated beside that status and in the Provider Verification Standards.

A provider is responsible for the accuracy of its offers and for determining whether it can lawfully and safely meet the transportation requirements it accepts. You should provide accurate information reasonably needed to arrange the ride, including relevant mobility, equipment, and assistance requirements. Do not submit medical records, payment-card information, or other sensitive information that is not requested and necessary for the service.

MedicalRide does not guarantee that every requested ride will receive an offer or that a provider will have availability. MedicalRide does not promise that a directory listing or document-review status guarantees a particular transportation outcome.

MedicalRide does not assume the provider's transportation obligations solely because you used the platform to find, contact, or book that provider. This allocation of responsibilities does not exclude liability that applicable law places on MedicalRide for its own conduct, representations, or obligations. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Booking and confirmation

MedicalRide.org supports more than one private-pay booking workflow. In some workflows, MedicalRide.org calculates or presents a price, collects or authorizes customer payment, asks independent providers whether they can accept the ride, and sends final confirmation details after a provider accepts. In other workflows, providers submit their own customer-facing quote, payment link or payment instructions, offer expiration time, cancellation terms, and operational details for the customer to review.

In a platform-paid or direct-booking workflow, a ride is considered confirmed only after the applicable provider accepts, payment or authorization is completed through the selected payment process, and MedicalRide.org sends the final confirmation details. MedicalRide.org may determine the customer-facing price, provider payout, success fee, payment timing, and payout method for these workflows, subject to any provider-specific terms disclosed before confirmation.

If MedicalRide.org collects a deposit to source and coordinate a request, that deposit is non-refundable once MedicalRide.org begins working the request because we invest resources to source each ride. If MedicalRide.org is unable to confirm a provider for the request, the deposit is automatically refunded.

For quote-request workflows, providers may submit their own customer-facing price, payment link, expiration time, cancellation terms, and operational details. MedicalRide.org may organize those offers so the customer can compare price, timing, provider details, and payment instructions in one place. The customer chooses whether to accept a provider offer. MedicalRide.org does not control the provider's quoted price, payment link, vehicle assignment, driver assignment, dispatch decisions, route execution, or ride completion.

In a provider-direct or marketplace quote workflow, the provider may collect payment directly from the customer or send the customer to a third-party payment link. MedicalRide.org may charge or invoice the provider a coordination, success, referral, processing, or similar fee when a MedicalRide.org-generated request is accepted, booked, completed, or otherwise handled through the platform. Customer contact details, passenger details, dispatch details, payment instructions, or provider details may be released in stages depending on the workflow, fraud controls, payment status, provider fee status, safety concerns, and operational requirements.

Applicable booking and commercial terms

MedicalRide may support different request, quote, booking, payment, deposit, provider-direct, platform-paid, subscription, membership, directory, callback, or coordination workflows.

The specific price, deposit, payment method, cancellation rule, refund rule, provider term, or other commercial condition applicable to a customer request or transaction is the condition clearly displayed in the relevant request page, quote, booking page, checkout, confirmation, invoice, payment authorization, or other transaction-specific notice before the customer incurs the applicable obligation.

A general description of one MedicalRide workflow does not mean that the same workflow applies to every request. When a customer pays an independent provider directly, the provider's disclosed payment, cancellation, and refund terms generally govern that provider payment. When MedicalRide processes a payment directly, the MedicalRide checkout, confirmation, and Refund and Cancellation Policy govern the MedicalRide-processed amount.

MedicalRide will not impose a customer charge that was not disclosed before the customer incurred the relevant payment obligation, except for corrections, taxes, chargebacks, fraud, or other adjustments permitted by the accepted terms or applicable law.

Platform changes and operating discretion

MedicalRide.org may prospectively introduce, modify, replace, limit, suspend, or discontinue workflows, features, pricing methods, payment methods, provider outreach methods, matching methods, quote processes, booking processes, payout processes, support methods, or operating models.

The workflow and commercial terms disclosed for a particular accepted request or completed payment continue to govern that request unless changed by agreement, cancellation, refund, correction, fraud review, payment-network rule, or applicable law.

MedicalRide.org may reject, cancel, pause, limit, or decline to process any request when we believe the request is incomplete, inaccurate, unsafe, emergency-related, abusive, fraudulent, operationally infeasible, outside available coverage, subject to a payment dispute or chargeback risk, or otherwise unsuitable for the platform.

MedicalRide.org may limit access to secure request pages, quote pages, payment workflows, customer support, or communications for security, safety, fraud prevention, compliance, provider availability, or operational reasons.

Electronic communications and records

Customers may receive transactional communications by email, text message, telephone, or platform notification concerning requests, quotes, bookings, payments, cancellations, safety, support, and account security. Marketing communications require any separate consent required by applicable law.

Electronic acceptances, confirmations, notices, and records may be used to document transactions and agreements where legally permitted.

Private-pay only

MedicalRide.org focuses on private-pay transportation. We do not bill insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare on your behalf through this flow.

Governing law and courts

Québec consumers. The French governing-law and Paris court-selection provisions below do not apply to a consumer contract governed by Québec's Consumer Protection Act. For such a contract, the laws applicable in Québec govern, and you retain your right to bring proceedings before a court with jurisdiction under those laws.

Other users. These Terms and your contract with Tipmunk SASU for the MedicalRide platform are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of protections that cannot be excluded by agreement under the law that would apply without this choice, including applicable mandatory protections in your place of habitual residence.

Subject to the consumer protections and other mandatory rules stated in this section, you and Tipmunk SASU agree that disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the MedicalRide platform will be brought exclusively before the competent courts of Paris, France.

Consumer court rights. The Paris court-selection provision does not apply where applicable law gives you a right that cannot be waived in advance to bring proceedings in another court, including a competent court in your place of residence. In particular, consumers protected by the European Union's mandatory consumer-jurisdiction rules retain the court choices those rules provide. Tipmunk SASU may bring proceedings against a consumer only in a court permitted by applicable law. If a mandatory rule makes the Paris court selection ineffective for a particular dispute, that dispute may be brought before a court with jurisdiction under that rule.

This section addresses disputes with Tipmunk SASU. It does not select the law or courts for your separate transportation contract with a provider. It does not require arbitration or waive any right to participate in collective proceedings that applicable law gives you. If you accepted a separate agreement with Tipmunk SASU in a business or professional capacity, that agreement's valid governing-law and court provisions control to the extent of a conflict.

Questions and disputes

Please send platform-related complaints to support@medicalride.org with enough information for us to identify the issue. Do not include unnecessary health information or payment-card details. We encourage you to contact us so that we can try to resolve the issue promptly. This request does not require you to delay a legal filing, allow a limitation period to expire, or give up a right to contact a regulator, seek urgent relief, or use a mediation or dispute-resolution process available under applicable law.

Severability

If a provision of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, it will not apply to the extent required by law. The remaining provisions continue to apply if the agreement can lawfully continue without that provision. This section does not authorize rewriting an unfair term against a consumer or removing a mandatory protection.

Versions and existing transactions

Each published version of these Terms identifies its effective date. A new version applies to a new request or transaction when you are given the new version and validly agree to it, subject to applicable law. An update does not by itself change the terms applicable to an earlier booking or an existing dispute, or create an acceptance that did not occur. Where applicable law requires a particular notice or consent procedure, that procedure also applies.
